CBD Isolate Oil in the UK – The rise of the isolate CBD oil
When CBD was first introduced in the UK market there was only one kind you could buy. This was a full spectrum CBD oil and included all of the molecules in the hemp plant. This included THC which is the psychoactive molecule responsible for the high effect associated with cannabis.
Now we are not saying that full spectrum is bad, in fact quite the opposite as a full spectrum product is highly beneficial, however, it soon became obvious that there were a lot of people who wanted to gain the benefits and try CBD but at the same time were nervous about it containing THC.
They did not want to feel high but also many people were worried that THC could show up on a drugs test.
Reassuringly over the counter CBD products here in the uk are regulated so even full spectrum oils wouldn’t get you high as the levels of thc are almost negligible, so much so that you wouldn’t experience any high even if you were to consume the whole bottle (not that we are recommending you do this of course as CBD is expensive)!.
The good news is that things are very much different now and people can now choose to buy many CBD products safe in the knowledge that it contains zero THC.
This is due to new technologies and methods in the way CBD is extracted from hemp and then distilled separating the major cannabinoids producing a pure form of CBD without any of the other molecules present.
This is known as CBD Isolate which can then be blended with a carrier oil and in addition a flavour can be added like natural a strawberry extract for example providing a tasty and pure CBD product without any of the risks associated with consuming a full spectrum CBD oil.
