Full Spectrum (wholeplant) CBD, Broad Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate –

Full Spectrum CBD  – contains all of the compounds that naturally occur in the cannabis plant including THC and CBN (in legal amounts), CBG, CBC amongst others not forgetting the terpenes & flavonoids as well as omega 3 & 6 and much more. 

Broad Spectrum CBD – is where a whole plant extract is separated into individual cannabinoids and once in isolation, a selection of cannabinoids can be re-blended together to make a broad spectrum blend usually made up of 4 or 5 different types of cannabinoids as opposed to a natural whole plant extract which has over 145.

CBD Isolate – this is exactly what it states, isolated CBD.  All of the compounds have been removed leaving only the extracted CBD (Cannabidiol).  Whilst it is a highly active compound, recent studies are proving that having a wholeplant oil containing all cannabinoids is more beneficial.

What are the differences?

– With CBD Isolate you are taking CBD on its own with no other natural component from the hemp plant.

– If you take a broad spectrum oil, depending on the chosen cannabinoids of that product, you will only be benefiting from those cannabinoids present.

– When you take a full spectrum based CBD oil you are not only consuming CBD but all the other active components within the hemp plant that work in synergy with one another and all have a different beneficial effect on our Endocannabinoid System. 

Which one should I use? – This depends on why you want to take it, maybe you are an athlete or operate heavy plant machinery and want to make sure you are risk free from THC due to drug testing then a CBD Isolate or broad spectrum oil would be beneficial.
